Relationships...

Joe & Dottie
Being a kid, I always looked forward to the summers that we would go visit a dear Aunt and Uncle in Houston. I always loved their house and the yummy dinners, but most of all, the home slide-show they would show after dinner and storied they would tell about their world travels was my favorite. It would take me to another time, a big world I would hope to explore one day! They recently came for a visit on the way back from one of their adventures. I was lucky enough to sit down with them and have this interview! Hope you enjoy!

Kelly: How long have you been married?
Joe & Dottie: 60 years

K: How did you meet?
J&D: After college, at church. They both tried out for a play with the Drama Club, and the rest is history!
They knew after one month that they would spend the rest of their lives together...In six months they
          were married!!!

K: What are some of your favorite things to do together?
J&D: Living together and traveling. They have been all over the world from China to Egypt, African
safari, France, Italy as well as all fifty states and more!!!

K: What is the key to a happy marriage?
J&D: Friendship and no secrets. They do everything together...laundry, dishes, and cooking!

This was such a fun interview to do! They are the most adorable couple! They hold hands and just adore one another, you can just SEE their love! It really is amazing!! I'm looking forward to their next visit!!! Love you both so much!

Satsuma

Lunch at Satsuma...
What a great little place! It is one of my new go to places!
I always get the same thing...Brie and pear sandwich with caramelized onions and balsamic glaze! So De-Lish!!! Tiger always gets the same thing too....Green eggs & ham (Sam I am) on a croissants! We have both tried other things of course, but always back to the same thing! We just love the vibe there too!!! The cookies and muffins and juice's are also a hit!!! They are open for breakfast and dinner.
At night a pop-up restaurant comes in and does a totally different menu! Have never been, but have a girl's night planned soon! Can't wait!!
Check it out!

I have been shopping with TWIST for a few years now and all I can say is WOW! Everything is so beautiful! From Cathy Waterman, Marie-Helene de Taillac, Pippa Small to Hortense, Chan Luu, Julie Rofman there is something for eveyone and every price range! My new found love...Judy Geib! There are a lot of One-of-a-kind pieces too, which is very appealing to me! They have an impeccable eye for all things brilliant!!!

During my shopping, I have made friends with Lauren Huffman, who has been the most patient, helpful and cheerful person I have ever met over the internet! I M Pei...

Tiger and I have been really enjoying Netflix. We have been watching 2 movies a week! We got a documentary on
I M Pei...What an amazing man! I really did not know a lot about him, until I realized that I was very familiar with his work. He did the John F. Kennedy library, The modernization and renovation of the Louvre, and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio. Just to name a few. Funny thing is he went to MIT in the 1930's, same time Tiger's Grandfather was there. He also was influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright, who Tiger's Father worked with as an architect, along with Fay Jones! Crazy how years later you find out history about your family and it all makes this life we live so cool! I M Pei is still living and is 94. He and his wife are the cutest little couple! He said that he goes to her with all of his projects to get her opinion and thoughts....how awesome is that?!!!
Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong, was my favorite, since his father was the first manager of that branch. Kind of cool how it came full circle. A very inspirational documentary.

You really should check it out!
