Girls night...Three Muses

What a fun night. We ordered so much food and laughed the night away! Everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend this place for a romantic dinner for two or first date. There was a piano guy early, then a band came on later. Both were lovely to listen to. The shops are open late in the evening, so you can walk around after and pop into some cool places to listen to some really great music. Frenchmen Street rocks!

Girl's Night...SYLVAIN

Me, Tamara, Nancy, Gretchen, and Kaki
Thursday was our Girl's Night at Sylvain...we try to get together once every other month!
What a fun time we had together...Such a strong bond and great energy! I always feel empowered after our night out! I love you ladies!
What a great little piece of history Sylvain is! A lovely little building that is tucked away. I felt as though Tenessee Williams would show up for a late dinner. Sylvain has a great vibe! Everyone is super nice and attentive!
The food and cocktails were amazing...
We shared the fried eggplant, the shaved brussels sprout salad, roasted beet bruschetta the daily fish special and a cheese plate. Everything was great!!

So as the night went on, we drank and talked...the subject of glasses came up, as we all seem to need readers now...
Me
Here I am with glasses! I have never found a pair that looks good on me...I always look like Lisa Loeb! (it's true) I guess if I need them these would work!
Thanks Kaki for letting me play!

Finn's garden at MiMi's is in full bloom! All the seeds and flowers he planted are comimg up and he couldn't be more excited! So fun to watch him. As a kid, I remember planting with my Grandfather and it was always so much fun to pick all the garlic, carrots, potatos, and tomato's that we had planted. So glad Finn has this same experience as I once did.

Fun in the French Quarter...

Today Kaki and I explored the F.Q. So much fun that we talked about starting a series of places to see, food to eat, and inspiring photos. What a great place to look for inspiration and learn the history of our lovely city!
We started at Croissant d'or. A sweet little spot to start your day. We walked around and were so inspired by things that you see everyday without even realizing how special they really are. We stopped in a few shops...First place was French Quarter Gem, a huge selection of rocks, gems and Jewelry (one could spend hours in this store). They also repair jewelry and watches. Fifi Mahony's, a quirky spot that had the best wigs. My favorite was the Marie Antoinette. So pretty. Next stop was Oh! Fine Lingerie & Vintage Couture (a vintage lovers must see). SJP would love it! Nadene Blake was closed and we were very sad, but next time it will be our first stop!
